Outdoor Iceskating

Yesterday afternoon we got the chance to go ice skating at an outdoor rink! In the past we've always gone indoors, but I think I actually like outdoors better. It was a perfect day for it too! Elisabeth and I have always liked spinning together, because we used to do it all the time on our roller blades. It is a bit more difficult on ice, because she is so light weight, and I tend to drag her along sometimes. :) I had brought the camera with me this afternoon, and decided to try and get a shot of the two of us spinning together, by using the remote. Here was the result of many trial shots:
The spin really needs us to both use both of our hands for it to work right, so it worked with Betz holding on for dear life and me concentrating to make sure that the remote worked. I still really like the photo though, and want to start using my remote more often to get more photos of the girls with me in it.

Now I'm off to work on my 2013 photobook! Don't want to get behind and backlogged on that... (I ordered the 2012 one last week, and it's supposed to arrive sometime in this week! I can't wait!)

Great shot! I would think being outdoors would be nice.
